Corporate Executive Chef Yvonne Maatouk has created a mouthwatering menu highlighting American comfort food with all the traditional fixings. Simplicity is at the core of Maatouk's cooking, recreating the most beloved home-style breakfast, lunch and dinner classics with a modern spin. Owner Hye Young Kim comes from a family of jewelers and decided to start her own business where she could share her designs with others who appreciate beautiful jewels.  | Walk for MS The MS Society will hold Walk MS on May 5 at 8:30 a.m. at Town Square. Dollars raised help generate awareness and funds to support critical MS research and provide programs and services for the more than 133,000 Southern, Central Californians and Nevadans impacted by MS. Multiple sclerosis (or MS) is a chronic, often disabling disease that attacks the central nervous system, which is made up of the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves.  | Pinoy Pride Celebration The Pinoy Pride Celebration is a Filipino cultural event slated for May 5 and 6 that will offer a glimpse into the rich history and culture of the Philippines. Festivities include food and retail vendors, carnival rides and games. Stop by on May 5 and enjoy karate exhibitions, hula dancers, performances by local bands and hip hop performers. A hip hop competition also takes place that day with a chance to win $1,000. May 6 kicks off with a dragon dance performed by students in a local Kung Fu school.  | Huntington's Disease Society of America Team Hope Walk Join supporters of the Huntington's Disease Society of America (HDSA) for Team Hope Walk on May 12 and walk to help the Nevada chapter of the HDSA. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the walk starts at 10 a.m. Following the walk, participants can take part in activities including a dunk tank, Games2u with laser tag and face painting. Guest speakers will also be on hand. A silent auction will round out the activities, and the winners will be announced at noon. The HDSA is national non-profit voluntary health agency dedicated to finding a cure for Huntington's Disease. They provide vital support, information and educational services to improve the lives of those affected by HD. |

| Tommy Bahama's Taking mom out for a delicious Mother's Day meal has never been more delicious at Tommy Bahama's. But, if you want to stay in and serve a delicious treat, the island-inspired restaurant is sharing its scrumptious recipe for Key Lime Pie. It serves six to eight people, so invite family and friends and enjoy! You'll need: 1 9" Graham Cracker Pie Shell, 1 14 oz Can of Sweetened Condensed Milk, 4 Egg Yolks (whites not used), ½ Cup Nellie and Joes Key West lime juice, 1 Cup Toasted Coconut - (divided use), Whipped Cream, fresh lime slices for garnish. Combine milk, egg yolks, and lime juice. Blend until smooth. Sprinkle pie crust with ½ cup toasted coconut and pour filling into pie shell. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Sprinkle top of pie with remaining ½ cup toasted coconut. Allow to stand 10 minutes, then refrigerate. Just before serving, top with freshly whipped cream and garnish with lime slices. |
