Tommy Bahama Introduces its Second Cookbook
Tommy Bahama, the iconic island-lifestyle brand, has released a new cookbook with more than 100 delicious recipes.
Flavors of the Southern Coast: Cooking with Tommy Bahama is the second cookbook in the series of culinary adventures that explore different cultural destinations. The first release was the wildly popular Flavors of Aloha: Cooking with Tommy Bahama. Flavors of the Southern Coast serves up an abundance of simply delicious soups, salads, seafood, poultry, desserts, cocktails and much more. Many creations are Tommy Bahama Restaurants and Bars specialties and guest favorites that continue to stir the palette including its seafood avocado cocktail, crab bisque, baby back ribs with blackberry brandy sauce, quinoa succotash, and of course, its signature key lime pie. The cookbook’s mouthwatering menu proudly honors elements from both land and sea incorporating dynamic ingredients, farm fresh produce and locally sourced livestock from the versatile bounty of the Gulf Coast states. Tommy Bahama has, once again, partnered with best-selling author and American chef, Rick Rodgers to showcase the rich Southern heritage that has influenced its cooking traditions. Rodgers has penned over 40 cookbooks, and his recipes have appeared in numerous publications including Food & Wine, Men’s Health and Fine Cooking. A much sought after celebrity chef and party planner, Rodgers is seasoned in presenting the world–class cuisine that so embodies the spirit of Tommy Bahama. Rodgers has chosen to share a sampling of his own savored dishes with Flavors of the Southern Coast readers such as smoked and baked Texas brisket, BBQ shrimp with spicy beer sauce and smothered green beans.
