Santa Claus set ups shop at Town Square on Nov. 13 …holiday celebration features parade, tree lighting, snow fall and holiday shows

LAS VEGAS (November 10, 2009) – Get your holiday wish list ready because Santa Claus will arrive at Town Square on Friday, November 13 at 7 p.m. via a horse drawn carriage and community parade. The parade, featuring holiday characters and a high school marching band, starts at the West Valet near Yard House and ends at the Norman Rockwell-inspired Santa house in Town Square Park.
Upon reaching his house, Santa will light a 40-foot Christmas tree and snow will fall in Town Square Park. Following the snow, children can take photos with Santa inside his house and enjoy holiday shows Once Upon a Christmas and Dance Party with Mrs. Claus.
To celebrate the season, Town Square will be outfitted with Norman Rockwell Holidays, six life-size vignettes which will be on display throughout the center starting November 13. The vignettes are interactive replicas of several covers Norman Rockwell created for The Saturday Evening Post
Informational audio will take visitors on an educational journey back in time, and patrons can enjoy them at no cost.
Inside Santa’s house, which is reminiscent of Norman Rockwell’s studio, families will be able to see Rockwell’s iconic Triple Self-Portrait, first printed in his autobiography My Adventures as an Illustrator in 1960 and then reprinted on the cover of The Saturday Evening Post later that year.
The Norman Rockwell displays and Santa House were created by The Becker Group, a Baltimore-based company that for more than 50 years has been creating cutting-edge attractions and experiences. Curtis Publishing Company is the exclusive licensor of the illustrations that appeared on the covers of The Saturday Evening Post.
The holiday season at Town Square will bustle with activities for the whole family.  Highlights include:
